Why it makes a difference to write to MPs and Peers?

Why it makes a difference to write to MPs?

  1. For MP’s, writing to them makes them aware of the issues that concern you and feel strongly enough for you to write to them.
  2. When enough constituents write in, the MP knows the issue is politically important.
  3. The response or the lack of responses from your MP will give you an understanding of how much he or she values your vote.
  4. At the next General Election, you will be able to make a better choice of who to caste your vote for.

That is democracy. Exercise your right.

Why it makes a difference to write to Peers?

Peers are “specialists” in certain areas of policy from the years of work they have done in their long careers before being chosen to be in the House of Lords. So finding and communicating with them can influence both policy and legislation.
